Adverb: Intriguingly, the people of the class payed attention
W Starter: Where was the movie set
Ing Start: Being careful he crept into his sleeping friends room and played his trombone
Ed start: Charged with treason, the man was sent to be publicly executed
Red/white/blue sentence: In a fire you should stop, drop, and roll
The colours in district twelve were natural, dull, and bleak
unsurprisingly, the arena didn't have a welcoming vibe
in the capitol colour is used to engage the viewer.

How Is Colour Used To Enhanced The Story
- What types of colours are used in each location?
Capitol: white, grey, silver, metallic, light blue, multi colour, rainbow, metallic/industrial/technological palette. feels futuristic, wealthy, technology,
Control room: white, multipule different blues, black, clinical palette, shows use of technology, futuristic. feels technologically advanced
Colour is used effectively to show the use of theme of rich vs poor. this is demonstrated in the two scenes- District 12 at the start of the film and the Capitol as Katness and Peeta arrive on the train.
In District 12 a natural, dull and dark palette of greens and browns is used to create a wild atmosphere.
in the Capitol a metallic, industrial colour palette of whites, silvers and greys to create a feeling of an advanced society. the purpose of this is to show the rich vs poor in the two society's. The Capitol has more bright colours and advanced technology and buildings whereas District 12 has dull colours to show the run down buildings and over worn clothing. Combined with the use of costumes we're able to see the divide between the wealthy in the Capitol and the poor of District 12. This reminds the audience of the riot scene later in the film when the poor citizens of District 11 rebel against the rule of the Capitol.

Boomerang
- explain the propose of the activity: to learn about aboriginal boomerangs
- explain the story on your boomerang, including the meaning of the colours: the orange with squiggly lines means forest fire, the rainbow means sand hill, and the thing that looks like poop is a hunting boomerang. (the red, green, blue, green, yellow is just basic aboriginal art)
- what went well when painting your boomerang: the basic patterns were easy to paint

How Are Costumes Used To Enhance The Story
1: blue/ whites, all look the same, many people, faded-over wash/ wear, old clothing, girls: hair braided, boys: combed/ short, all girls wear dresses/ skirts, all boys wear collared shirts.
2: bright colours, long hair, always have hair accessories, fancy suits, over the top makeup, long dresses, high end good quality, clean clothing, everyone's unique
3: tributes wear jackets, pants, running shoes, t-shirt, colours are black, orange, grays, camouflage, everyone looks the same (apart from size).
Costumes are used effectively to show the imbalance between rich and poor, the Capital and District 12, in Panam. For instance, this is seen in the reaping scene where the figure of Effie Trinket is juxtaposed to those of District 12. in this scene the children of District 12 are wearing dull/ faded simple clothes while Effie wears a vibrant pink outfit with an extravagant wig and over the top make-up. this makes us understand how unwealthy the people of District 12 are to the Capitol. the purpose of this is to show that life in all the Districts is not as hard as it is in District 12. Coinciding with this is the use of setting in district 12. Everything is run down and old but in the capitol everything is new clean and colourful. the costumes in the reaping scene can be juxtapose to the clothes worn citizens of the capital.
